I believe she was 7 weeks old in these shots. She was finally big enough to wear one of her dresses to church. My aunt gave her this adorable little ensamble. I just love the bonnet!

Sydney rarely sits still long enough for me to capture these moments, but this time she did. She had just finished eating and was about to doze off. Doesn't it look like she's praying? She's been clasping her hands like this since birth. I love it! It just looks so proper

2 month appointment...shots!

She screamed bloody murder. It was so sad. I honestly almost started to cry.

rasberry beret

My sister, Martha...I mean Shana, MADE this adorable baby beret (still a little too big). She's so talented, and I'm so lucky to be the recipient of her talents! Thanks to Shana, Sydney has the cutest hats, blankets, burp cloths, etc.

road trip

At the ripe old age of 3 weeks, we took Sydney on her first road trip. Jared played in a golf tournament in Saint George and then had a business meeting in Las Vegas. Sydney was fabulous! She slept straight from Provo to Saint George. This is a picture of Jared and Sydney on the golf course minutes before we got kicked off. Apparently, no babies allowed! :) While Jared was off golfing and "wheeling and dealing," Sydney relaxed with her cousin Ryder.

The position of her hat (the one she got at the hospital and the only one that fit at this point) makes her look like a little bum.

sydney's first bath

"Hey hey what do you say? It's time to take a bath today.
Bring your ducky. Bring your boat. Bring your toys that like to float.
Gently scrub from top to toes.
Now I kiss you on the nose.
All clean."

Grandma gave Sydney her very first bath, and she loved it! She's definitely a water bug! Her hospital identification sticker stayed on for about a week and a half. I didn't have the heart to rip it off. I finally pealed it off the day we had her new born pictures taken.

Sydney Ryan Overton made her entrance on December 7, 2008. After nine long months of anticipation and a grueling labor, we finally got to meet this little girl, and we couldn't feel more blessed to have her in our lives. She melts our hearts. She is perfect in every way and perfect for us in every way!
