6 month appointment....more shots!

Sydney is actually 7 months; her routine appointments are delayed by a month.  She seemed a little suspecting in the waiting room.  I think she may be catching on that the doctor's office equals shots.

happy 4th of july

We took Sydney to the parade to celebrate the 4th, and it ended up being a very traumatic experience.  The pre-parade anticipation was lots of fun.  However, when the parade kicked off with dozens of fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars blasting their obnoxious sirens, things quickly took a turn for the worst.  The noise was too loud for her little 7 month-old ears, and she let us know it as she immediately burst into tears. She lasted about 20 minutes before we decided to take her home.  As you can see from the pictures, she was out before we even got to the car.

I watched Ryder while Aunt Jenny ran 5 miles!  What an inspiration she is to us all! :)  It was fun having the babies play together.  Sydney loves to watch bigger kids play.  And there was plenty of room to do just that since I no longer have furniture in the living room of the condo (it's been moved over to the house).

Thanks for the ball cap, Mom!  It's very cute!  Unfortunately, Sydney's at the age where she'd rather have the hat in her mouth than on her head.

well, long enough for me to snap a picture, anyway.  

However, she still prefers her back over her bum.
